UPCOMING EVENTS - FEBRUARY/MARCH

Bill's first stop in February will be at the Society of Illustrators in New York, presenting the resurrected version of Winsor McCay's film "The Flying House". Bill supervised the coloring and re-touching of McCay's 1921 classic film, and added the voices of Matthew Modine and Patricia Clarkson. The newly-restored "The Flying House" will screen at the Society of Illustrators, 128 East 63rd St. on February 8 at 6:30 pm. Tickets and information here.

Then it's off to Shreveport, Louisiana, for an appearance at the Robinson Film Center, presented by Moonbot Studios, on February 10 at 7:15 pm. Bill will screen his short films "The Cow Who Wanted to Be a Hamburger" and "Summer Bummer", along with other shorts, clips and surprises - and everyone who attends will get a free Bill Plympton drawing! After that, Bill will appear at the Boulder International Film Festival in Colorado, February 16-19. The festival will be screening Bill's short "Guard Dog Global Jam", and also the documentary "Adventures in Plymptoons", directed by Alexia Anastasio. Bill and Alexia will present the film and answer questions, and Bill will also conduct a master class in animation at the festival. More details here.

And then in March, Bill will appear at the screening of "Adventures in Plymptoons" at the Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington, NY on March 8. Bill and Alexia Anastasio will present this Long Island premiere of the documentary, and members will receive a free Bill Plympton sketch, along with a very limited Cinema Arts Centre t-shirt with art by Bill.
