UPCOMING EVENTS - SEPTEMBER
Bill's first stop in September will be at the Martha's Vineyard
International Film Festival, Sept. 8-11. Bill will introduce a
special collection of new short animated films, including "Wisdom
Tooth" by Don Hertzfeldt, "Masks" by Pat Smith, "The Mouse
That Soared" by Kyle Bell, "Place Stamp Here" by Joy Vaccese
and Noelle Melody, and "Thought of You" by Ryan Woodward.
Also included will be Bill's own new shorts, "Summer Bummer"
and the Weird Al music video "TMZ". The screening will take place
on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 7 pm at the Katherine Cornell Theatre.

Next it's on to the Burbank Film Festival in California, Sept. 15-18
for a screening of the documentary "Adventures in Plymptoons"
on Sunday, September 18 at 3:30 pm.
In addition to being an honoree, Bill is the presenter for this year's
inaugural "Plympton Award for Indie Animation" which will go to an
entrant of the Burbank International Film Festival, annually.
Also, Bill will host a Master Class, lecture and drawing demonstration
with a screening of select shorts and music videos.

Then it's on to the Woodstock Film Festival, for another program
of animated shorts, including "Book Girl & Cabinet Girl" by Jane Wu,
"The Deep" by PES, "Enrique Wrecks the World" by David Chai,
"Grandpa Looked Like William Powell" by David Levy, "Masks" by
Patrick Smith, Bill's music video "TMZ", and more. The screening
will be held at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock on Sept. 24
at 2 pm, and at the Upstate Films II theater in Rhinebeck on
Sept. 25 at 4:15 pm.
Also the Woodstock Film Festival will be screening "Adventures in
Plymptoons" on Friday, Sept. 23 at 4 pm at the Upstate Film II
Theater in Rhinebeck and on Saturday Sept. 24 at 11:45 am at

Also in upstate New York, there will be special screenings of Bill
Plympton's films at the Dryden Theater of the George Eastman
House in Rochester, starting with "The Tune" on Sept. 15,
a program of animated Plympton shorts on Sept. 22, and
"Idiots and Angels" on Oct. 1. And on Thursday, Sept. 29 there
will be a special screening of "Adventures in Plymptoons", directed
by Alexia Anastasio. Bill will be in attendance for the screenings
on Sept. 29 and Oct. 1.

And on September 27, there will be a special screening of "Idiots
and Angels" at the State Theater in New Brunswick, NJ at 8 pm.
Bill will be on-hand to introduce the film, and do a Q&A session
after. Bill will also read and sign his new autobiography, Independently
Animated. Plus, a special onstage conversation hosted by cartoonist
and Plympton fan Patrick McDonnell, the creator of the comic strip MUTTS.

From there, it's on to the Bend Film Festival in Bend, Oregon,
for a wide variety of screenings. First up are screenings of
the short "Guard Dog Global Jam" on Oct. 6, 7 and 9, and then
the Pacific Northwest premiere of "Adventures in Plymptoons",
on Friday, Oct. 7, 2:45 pm at the Tower Theater, and on Sat.,
Oct. 8, 9 pm at the Regal Old Mill.
Also being screened at the Bend Film Festival is "Ingrid Pitt:
Beyond the Forest", a film directed by Kevin Sean Michaels
and featuring animation by Perry Chen and design by Bill Plympton,
screening on Oct. 7 and 8. Finally, Bill Plympton and Alexia
Anastasio will speak on a panel about Crowdfunding and Creative
Marketing on Friday, Oct. 7, 10 am at McMenamin's (Old St. Francis

Also in Bend, Oregon, Bill Plympton is holding a private dinner
on October 7 at 900 Wall Restaurant. This will be limited to 12 seats
to make it an intimate evening, This dinner will be $150 per person
which includes meal (alcoholic beverages not included). This a rare
opportunity to meet Bill, as he will answer your questions and offer
insight into an ever-changing field. Funds raised will be used to benefit
I Believe Productions, and everyone at the dinner will get a caricature
by Bill Plympton.

Then it's back to New York City for the big New York Comic-Con
at the Javits Center, October 13-16. Started in 2006, this event
has gotten bigger every year, and is now the biggest pop culture
convention on the East Coast.. Bill will have a booth selling his DVD's,
artwork, and copies of his new book "Independently Animated".

Following Comic-Con, Bill will travel to the Flip Festival in the UK,
October 27-29. The festival will be screening "Adventures in
Plymptoons", "Guard Dog Global Jam", and "Ingrid Pitt: Beyond
The Forest". Also, Bill will host a Master Class and drawing
demonstration, with a selection of his shorts and music videos.
